  • Monitor and maintain servers and services both local and outsourced (physical, public/private cloud)
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all servers and services
  • Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of client/server software, service packs and operating system updates
  • Make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement
  • Manage and maintaining the enterprise backup environment
  • Perform on-site and remote technical support
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
  • Maintain excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
  • Create and maintain good technical documentation
  • Provide rotational on-call after-hours, holiday and weekend support as required 
  • Provide service and support 24/7/365 as required, during exceptional circumstances, to maintain systems and service availability; this includes monitoring and responding to after-hours alerts sent though blackberry devices, as well as responding to phone calls for support as situations require
  • Researching emerging information technologies and providing recommendations to management
  • Maintaining and keeping the Company’s telecommunication systems running with minimal downtime (phones, facsimile)
  • Maintain inventory of internal licenses and track compliance
  • Participate in the monthly maintenance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  •       A certification in MCP is required
  •        A certification in MCSE or MCSA is preferred
  •        Degree or diploma in Computer Science from a recognized university or college or equivalent
  •        Proven ability to multi-task varying priorities and ability to troubleshoot in a work-related environment.
  •        Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  •        Strong organizational and communication skills

                           Enterprise Antivirus (Kaspersky, McAfee, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a necessity. The understanding of when to email versus phone call versus have a face to face discussion is very important
  • Ability to communicate on a technical and non-technical level depending on the audience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and non-technical documents
  • Ability to listen and understand communications from customers, co-worker and management; clarifying when necessary
